Crofelemer Access program
Napo has created the Crofelemer Access Program (“CAP”) to provide crofelemer at cost to pediatric populations in disaster situations and resource-constrained geographies, the CAP is part of a commitment Napo has made to the Clinton Global Initiative. The CAP “Crofelemer Access Program” Global purpose is attract socially responsible investors and donors to support the acceleration of development of an FDA approved pediatric product. Napo has received a cornerstone investment in this program from the principal of a well-known venture fund in Palo Alto, Calfornia – Asset Management. The return on investment in CAP Global is based on royalties on western market sales, Napo's commitment is to develop an FDA approved pediatric formulation of crofelemer ("CRO-PED") for distribution to Direct Relief International’s (See Alliances – DRI) medical partner network. Napo is currently seeking other NGO (non-governmental) aid organizations for further reach to resource-constrained situations. Napo has formalized this commitment in a B corporate subsidiary structure.
